Norberg Consulting was started in 1995 with a desire to help start-up firms become established, consult on administrative issues with established firms or manage their relocations. Owner Judy Norberg could see that there were times of transition when firms needed help – and it wasn't available. Being in the industry, she knew that each hour spent dealing with administrative issues or working on a firm relocation were hours not spent with clients. She also knew the kind of impact those situations have on the bottom line.
With over 20 years of law experience, Judy has seen the business from all sides. She garnered much of her experience as the administrator at two mid-size law firms where her collaborative nature and ability to get things done was instrumental to their success. Judy also managed the largest start-up in Minnesota's history when she worked with 30 lawyers to establish Halleland Lewis Nilan Sipkins & Johnson P.A. in Minneapolis.
Judy has served as President of the Minnesota Legal Administrators Association (MLAA), is an Associate Member of the Minnesota Bar Association, a member of the Legal Edge and has served on the advisory boards of several community and technical colleges during her career.
Judy is a sought after speaker, has published numerous articles including "Starting Your Own Firm" in the October 2007 issue of Bench & Bar of Minnesota, and has been interviewed as an expert for numerous media.
Judy is active in her community and serves on the Housing Committee for the Minnesota Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. When she is not actively breathing life into law firms, she enjoys traveling with her husband.
